| Capt Barney has sent us an order for
wheels and axles for which we thank him. But we thought it best to
write you as to payment for same. You are doubtless aware that since
the Blockade we are Compelled to pay Cash for every article we
purchase besides paying exorbitant prices & therefore cant you the
longwmant Credit all have been accustomed to Concede. We therefore
address you to enquire if you can pay us on the delivery of the
articles or at what terms you can Certainly pay us. This question is a
novel one for us to ask of you but we have no doubt but that you will
appreciate our position & respond accordingly. |
