Dear Sir,
We have yours 13th Inst. & in reply take pleasure in saying that we can supply you spikes & chairs or any other articles you may need in Constructing your Road.
At present we could furnish you spikes at 4 cents & chairs at 4 1/2 cents delivered here and we presume at regular rates it will Cost you from 90 cents to $1.00 per hundred at regular rates, but we think you can make a thro rate to Florence much under the usual price -- probably about half price, or it may be that they could be taken on on good via Raleigh & Columbia, as the Officers on that route normally take very liberal views of such subjects.
There is an establishment for making Cement up James River & we think you can obtain what you may require. Will enquire & inform you hereafter.
Mr. Fink has been in Correspondence with us for the irons for your Bridge.
Let us know what chair you will use. See Pages 17 to 20 in our pamphlet sent herewith for fastenings.
Very Truly
J. R. Anderson & Co
