Dear Sir, |
The Lee was detained near
Smithfield to haul lumber about one day. Genl Beauregard gave orders
that every train in passing the Saw Mill with ??? flats must be loaded
to save the lumber. This lumber was subsequently turned over to our
road & I will make any arrangements for this detention you may
think right. |
