Richmond March 8th 1864
   At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Virga Central Railroad Company, present

   Resolved, that in the opinion the interests of the Company requires a more strict personal supervision of the practical operations of repairing the Roadway and to effect that, the Road between Greenwood and Richmond shall be divided into two sections under the advice of the Superintendent, one of which for that purpose shall be under the principal Road Master and the other under the assistant each of whom shall go over their section in a Hand Car once in two weeks and report to the Superintendent once in four weeks such detailed information as he may require who shall report to the Board.
   Resolved, that the assistant Engineer be required to inspect and report in like manner, the Road from Greenwood to Jackson's River
   Resolved, that with reference to the difficulty of keeping labour enough to sustain the Road with fuel and timber, and keeping up the track, the most constant personal presence of all managers of hands is expected, so as to have the work done with as few hands as possible, and the Road Master and his assistant be expected to see that this order is strictly attended to.
