| This is to certify that I Edward N. Dickerson of said
City and State am the Vice President and Executive officer of the
Florida Rail Road Company -- which Road is located in East Florida, the
line running from Fernandina to Cedar Keys, and that I am legally
entitled to the possession and control of any property belonging to said
Rail Road Company, and therefore I claim possession of the cargo of Rail
Road material, consisting of Iron, Copper and Brass articles, brought
upon the Schooner Curlew Captain Powers, now lying at Pier 44 East River
in said City of New York, the said cargo fRail Road Material having been
illegally taken possession of by persons at Fernandina Florida, and
shipped by them per said Schr Curlew to this said City of New York. |
