| I have the honor to enclose herewith for
your information a copy of a letter of instruction which I have just
given to Maj. E. T. D. Myers, Engrs, a member of the Commission for
Collecting and Distributing Railroad Iron. Major Myers goes to Georgia
for the purpose of aiding in procuring, under your direction and
authority, Iron for the repair of the broken roads in Georgia. I have to
request that you will issue the orders necessary to enable Maj. Myers to
execute the work with which he is entrusted. |
