Charleston Feb 15, 1865 |
The Annual Meeting of the Stockholders was
held here this day. |
His Hon the Mayor was called to the chair,
and, (the Secretary of the Company having gone into the interior with
the Books &c) Mr. Richards was instructed to act as Secretary. |
On motion it was resolved that the amt of
Stock should be called, whereupon the following amount was shown to be
resented viz: |

It appearing that a majority of the Stock
was represented a further call was dispensed with. |
On motion it was resolved that an election
for President & Directors of this Co should be held, whereupon
Messrs Furman, Chamberlain & Richards were appointed Managers of
said Election, and the following named gentlemen were declared by them
unanimously elected |

Mr. Furman stated that in consequence of
the present unsettled state of affairs in the country and the sickness
of the President, the reports of the President & Superintendent
had not been made and presented, and he therefore moved that they be
presented at a future meeting to be called by the President, which was
agreed to. |
On motion it was resolved that this
meeting adjourn. |
