B5, RCC 6/14/1862

   At a called meeting of the Council of the City of Richmond held the 14th day of June 1862.
 
Present: David J. Saunders, Esquire, President. Messrs. Glazebrook, Crutchfield, Scott, Talbott, Wynne, Griffin, Eppes, Haskins, Hill, and Grattan. 
 
   The reading of the proceedings of the last meeting being dispensed with, the President stated the object of the present call; and the Reverend Dr. J. B. Jeter being present, on motion of Mr. Hill, he was allowed to address the meeting on the subject.
   Dr. Jeter proceeded to address the meeting, and in conclusion submitted for the consideration of the Council a play for supplying the City with provisions.
   Mr. Hill, thereupon, submitted the following resolution which was adopted by the Council:
   Resolved, That the communication of Dr. Jeter be received and approved, and that a committee of six members of the Council and five citizens be appointed to carry out the object.
