Sir, |
I have received as yet, no
communication from the President and Directors of the Vicksburg,
Shreveport & Texas Rail Road in reference to the Rail-road iron and
spikes at this place. I have appropriated the loose iron and spikes for
the use of the gunboat building here {CSS
Missouri}. |
I shall not take up any of
the track here, unless it may be absolutely necessary. |
A careful account will be
kept of all the iron and spikes that may be used by the gunboat
Contractors. |
I am very respectfully |
Your obt. servt. |
