| My communication of
yesterday, should have stated that the same request has been made of
the other two Companies between this city and Wilmington {the
Petersburg RR and the Wilmington & Weldon RR}, and the
object desired is to work the three roads as one corporation. |
| This explanation is rendered
in order that you may not suppose any distinction drawn against your
road, or that any dissatisfaction is felt with your management. |
