No. 127. An Act to amend the Charter of the Opelika & Talladega Rail Road Company
 
   Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly convened, That the Opelika & Talladega Rail Road Company, be, and is hereby fully authorized and empowered, in addition to the powers conferred by their charter, to extend and construct their rail road, on a route to be chosen by them, from its terminus on the Alabama & Tennessee rivers rail road to the town of Tuscumbia.
   Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That all the rights, privileges and immunities of their present charter of said rail road company, be applied to the aforesaid portion of the way, between the Alabama & Tennessee rivers rail road and the town of Tuscumbia.
   Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, That the name of the Opelika & Talladega Rail Road Company be, and is hereby changed to that of the Opelika & Tuscumbia Rail Road Company.
   Sec. 4. Be it further enacted, That to enable the said rail road company to construct the said portion of their road, between the Alabama & Tennessee rivers rail road and the town of Tuscumbia, the capital stock of said company may, and is hereby authorized, to be raised to the sum of $4,500,000.
   Sec. 5. Be it further enacted, That in section 3 of the act of incorporation of said Opelika & Talladega Rail Road Company, approved December the 9th, 1859, the words "United States" be stricken out, and "Confederate States" be inserted in lieu thereof.
