Recd of Lt Col Minor Meriwether Engineers Corps the Locomotive Engine Javelin three box cars for which we agree to pay him at the rate of  twenty five dollars per day for the Locomotive and three Dollars and seventy five cents per day for the box cars -- rate of Locomotive to begin 18 June & cars on 10th June. We promise to return the Locomotive & cars in good order when required
