Gentlemen,
|
|
By virtue of orders from Col J. R. F. Tatnall commanding
Dept of Observation bearing date Nov 21st 1862, I have seized in the
name & for the use of the Confederate States Government all the
rolling stock of the Ala & Fla rail road Co of Florida, except the
Engine "Javelin." Said rolling stock to be distributed
between the following named roads (for use in government
transportation), to the Mobile & Grt Northern Rail Road Co -- one
Engine & one third of the rolling stock of the Ala & Fla rail
road Co of Fla. The remaining engines & rolling stock to the Ala
& Fla rail road Co of Ala

You will accordingly deliver to Mr G. Jordan Agent of the
Mobile & Grt Northern rail road Co the Engine "Dart" and
one third of the rolling stock of the Ala & Fla rail road Co off
Fla, and to Mr E M Pratt agent of the Ala & Fla rail road Co of
Ala the Engines "Industry" and "Perseverance" and
the remaining rolling stock of the Ala & Fla rail road Co of Fla.
