| A called meeting of the Board
of Directors was held this day at Danville |

| A communication from ETD Myers was
received respectfully declining an appropriation of $2,000 made to him
on the 10th Augt last. The said appropriation was thereupon received. |
| The President having laid before the Board
a correspondence with the Confederate Government in regard to a
settlement for the repairs and reconstruction of the road |
| Resolved That the President of this
Company is authorised to close the arrangement with the Confederate
Government for the repairs and reconstruction made necessary by the raid
of the enemy upon this road. |
