| A regular meeting of the Board of
Directors was held this day |

Edmunds, R O Haskins, & Wm Palmer Directors |
| On Motion Resolved as the opinion of the
Board of Directors that the interests of the Government, and scarcity of
supplies throughout this section of the State, make it our imperative
duty to afford every possibility facility of Transportation; and to
effect this object, express & passenger trains should be run upon the
road. |
| Resolved That the President be and he is
hereby authorised to sell supplies of necessary provisions for the
operatives and employees of the road, and to furnish them at the cost,
loss & charges, if loss or gain to the Company. |
