| Our negro force on Defenses of Atlanta is
now reduced much below our wants. Please forward to me such authority as
will empower me to impress negro labor in such counties of this State as
may seem equitable. While the Planter is some counties have responded
cheerfully without questioning the authority, those of other counties
have not responded to the call. |
