| Dear Sir, |
| You will please enrol the quota of negroes
one in four of able bodied men in your County as required by the
circular sent to you by Lt. Col. Capers and send them up by the Macon &
Western R. R. on the morning of the 1st of January. Have an overseer of
good standing appointed to come with the negroes. You had better come up
also and see to the appraisement, and take receipts for the owners. |
