You will please proceed to the end of the track of the Aug. & Sav. R. R. that may now be in running order, say 10 miles beyond Waynesboro in the direction of Millen, and with the force under your control take up the iron rails towards Waynesboro, taking all possible precaution to save the spikes and joint fastenings. An Engine, train of cars and pilot will be placed under your order. The train will be loaded with 7 tons to each car, as near as you can estimate the weight, and then sent forward to Augusta. Empty cars will be immediately returned to you if the cars can be obtained from other roads. The purpose is to keep the work progressing until the iron is removed for the ten miles beyond Waynesboro
