| The Alabama & Mississippi Rivers Rail Road
Company acknowledges to owe, and promises to pay to Williams and
Robinson, on the first day of January 1863 one hundred and fifty eight
Dollars for hire during the present year of negro men Lee & Philip, and
binds itself to furnish said negroes with two suits of summer clothes
and of winter a hat, blanket & two pair shoes and to pay Doctors bills
and Taxes. The hire of said negroes commencing on the 17th day of March
1862 and ending Jany 1st 1863. |
| In testimony of which contract I have
caused the seal of the Company to be hereunto attached and have attested
the same. |
